Goal: To improve and extend the original Kilbotron project
Status: Operational. www.slackertalk.com/drtron/
Background: Dr. Tron is an offshoot of the original Kilbotron project, which sought to create a permanent searchable archive of TickerTalk’s posts. Dr. Tron’s primary improvements over the original Kilbotron include full preservation of threaded conversations and nested replies, as well as the preservation of posts original IP addresses and user handles/nicknames.
I chose the name “Dr. Tron” as a reference to “Dr. Tran”, an amusing internet animation. I also modified the header of the page to make many different references to films starring the fictional Dr. Tran character.

The To-Do List: Features planned or under consideration
- Alteration of the cached board display to properly nest/thread conversations where applicable
- Addition of a “Laugh Tracker” page to find recent amusing posts (i.e., “L”ujita-scale posts of L1 thru L5, as well as *golf clap* posts)
- Modification of the Today’s Links feature to allow browsing of the full link library
- Overhaul of the statistics display to make the page much more visually appealing and informative
