Well, last night was pretty interesting here in Victoria, BC. Despite a forecast of sunshine for the entire week, an ominous storm cloud rolled in around 6PM. I managed to snap a photo of it while I was returning from a trip to Pender Island (which will be another post entirely
).
After we arrived home, all was quiet until my fiancee interrupted the video game I was playing at around 9PM to tell me to look outside. When I did look, this is what I saw:
I also took the opportunity to attempt to record the thunderclaps and lightning flashes on video. I recorded about ten minutes of video, and – for the first time – used iMovie on my Mac Mini to pare the movie down and put it up on YouTube:
The storm faded away, but I’m happy with the photos and video I got of it. These sorts of things, in my experience, are very rare here in Victoria – I can’t even remember the last time I saw a storm with lightning here.
